Free Up Disk Space on Windows 10 & 11

Your Windows PC is probably sitting on gigabytes of junk you can't see. SwiftClean finds and removes it — temp files, browser caches, crash dumps, Update leftovers — and shows you the exact megabytes freed.

Where Does Your Disk Space Actually Go?

When you run out of space, Windows doesn't tell you where it went. SwiftClean scans the places nobody thinks to look: the temp folder, browser cache directories, the Recycle Bin, Windows Update downloads, and crash dumps. On machines that haven't been cleaned in a year or two, these folders easily hold 5–20 GB.

The problem is that built-in Windows tools either hide these folders deep in settings or don't clean them at all. That's why people download a cleaner — they want a straightforward way to reclaim space without digging through Control Panel or risking accidental deletions.

Why SwiftClean Instead of Other Tools?

Most 'cleaners' invent fake problem counts — "1,000 registry issues detected" — to scare you into paying. SwiftClean shows honest numbers: it tells you the real megabytes found, then the real megabytes freed. You see exactly what you got back.

It also leaves your documents, photos, saved logins, and installed programs completely alone. The scan shows you the exact folders it will touch before it clears anything. No background service stays running after cleanup, no sign-up required, no watermark.

The tool installs via a standard setup on Windows — download the zip, run the installer, and it is ready.

How to Free Up Space in 4 Steps

  1. Install SwiftClean Download the ZIP file and run the installer. Windows may ask for permission once.
  2. Run the scan Open SwiftClean and click Scan. Within seconds it reports the exact megabytes hiding in temp folders, browser caches, Recycle Bin, and Windows Update downloads.
  3. Review what's safe to delete All targets are pre-checked by default — temp files, old browser cache, crash dumps, and update leftovers. Untick anything you want to keep (e.g., if you're still sorting through the Recycle Bin).
  4. Clean in one click Hit Clean and the freed space appears immediately. No restart needed for most cleanups. If you elevated to admin, the Windows temp folder and Update cache also clear.

Which Folders Get Cleaned?

**Windows temporary files** — both your user temp folder and C:\Windows\Temp, where orphan junk accumulates over years of patches and crashes.

**Browser cache** — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, Brave, and Yandex. Only cache clears; your saved logins and passwords stay safe.

**Recycle Bin** — emptied through Windows' native safe-delete path, just like File Explorer does it.

**Windows Update downloads** — the SoftwareDistribution\Download folder often holds 2–5 GB on older machines.

**Crash dumps and error reports** — WER queue files and stale crash dumps that nobody will ever investigate.

**Thumbnail cache** — the Explorer thumbnail database, rebuilt fresh on demand.

You can also point SwiftClean at a custom folder (old Downloads pile, game cache folder) and include it in the scan.

Common Questions

Do I need an account or email?

No sign-up, no license key, no account. Download the zip and run the installer.

Will it work on Windows 11?

Yes — tested on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Windows 7 and 8 also run it fine.

Does it need internet?

No. All cleaning happens offline. The program makes zero network calls while working.

How do I install it?

Standard user mode cleans your temp folders and browser caches. If you want to also clear system temp files, SwiftClean asks for permission via the normal Windows prompt.

Can it delete something I actually need?

No. It targets only known-safe junk: temp directories, browser cache subdirectories, the Recycle Bin, WER dumps, and update downloads. Documents, photos, and installed programs are never touched.
